2nd Street FAM JAM features live music & family activities on 2nd Street with the street closed to traffic from Allen to St. Ann. This family-friendly event begins at the start of the Friday After 5 season and continues until late October, starting at 6:30pm and lasting until 9:30pm. In addition to live music, there are picnic tables setup and activity stations for children.
We close down 2nd Street and dance the night away to great music at this monthly event. Headphones are available and each pair plays 3 channels of music simultaneously making an experience truly everyone will love. A variety of delicious food + beverages are available from all of the 2nd Street businesses!
Blocktoberfest returns to Downtown Owensboro on October 19, 2024! 2nd Street will be filled with live music, contests, local vendors and, of course, regional breweries. All proceeds from Bloktoberfest support the events & operations of Downtown Owensboro.

The Owensboro Air Show began in 2012 to celebrate the grand opening of the newly revitalized Smothers Park Riverfront in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. Owensboro Comic & Toy Convention will take place October 5-6th, 2024 in Owensboro, KY at the Owensboro Convention Center. OCTC is Owensboro's largest gathering of all things geeky! The convention features celebrities of film and TV, comics, art, music, and more.

Show hours are Friday, November 8 from 2pm to 7pm, Saturday, November 9 from 9am to 6pm, and Sunday, November 10 from 11am to 4pm.
“Hometown Christmas,” a series of holiday activities, kick off in mid-November with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. From festive photo ops and interactive light displays to Christmas-themed programs and theatre performances, more than a dozen activities will take place through December 31.
